Graffiti cleanup effort under way in Tremont

Tremont residents and volunteers are hitting the streets today to clean up graffiti off of retaining walls and buildings.Volunteers with the group Community Solutions say the problem of graffiti has been plaguing the area for years. They hope their cleanup operation will bring a lasting change. "I want to come back in a year from now and see that it's still painted like this with no graffiti," says Ruben Ventura. Except for the paint removal, volunteers say they will be returning to Tremont to pick up garbage that has been piling up.
