Bronx priest accused of sexually abusing teen girl

A Catholic priest in The Bronx has been arrested for the alleged sexual abuse of a 16-year-old girl.

According to authorities, Father Jaime Duenas, 87, molested the teenager on Saturday, Monday and Tuesday at Nativity of Our Blessed Lady Church on 233rd Street in Eastchester.

The Archdiocese of New York released a statement saying that it's committed to providing a safe environment for everyone, especially children and young people. The archdiocese also says it will cooperate fully with the district attorney's investigation.

Duenas is facing charges of sexual abuse, forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child.
