Residents: Williamsbridge Oval Park not on 911 GPS grid

Residents who live near Williamsbridge Oval Park say the 911 system isn't able to pinpoint the location, which leads to slower response times.

Community activist Jay Shuffield says he has called 911 about incidents near or in the park several times. However, he says each time, the operator isn't able to find the park on the system map.

Shuffield says he is worried the extra time on the phone could seriously delay response times during an emergency. Some residents say they believe the park may be listed under a different name in the system. Residents say they want the city to update their system before a serious incident occurs.

The NYPD says it is still looking into the issue.
