Fordham athletes stay hydrated during August heat

Fordham athletes say they are staying hydrated during the high temperatures in August.

The CDC issued a heat warning to coaches advising them to follow guidelines to protect players from heat illness.

Fordham coach Tom Masella says he makes sure all the players weigh themselves before and after training. He also provides plenty of water during practice.

Masella says he also educates everyone on the warning signs for heat illness. He hopes staying healthy and in shape will lead the team to a winning season.
