BX residents using pools, cooling centers to beat heat

Bronx residents are desperately trying to stay cool during the summer's latest heat wave. Hundreds have flocked to public parks and pools to beat the heat, with especially large crowds gathering at the Bronx River Avenue pool on 174th Street. Aside from providing a release from soaring temperatures, the pool is offering swimming lessons for children.
