Police find missing BK boy's remains, arrest suspect

Police say the remains of 8-year-old Leiby Kletzky, who disappeared while walking home from camp, have been found inside a man's refrigerator and in a Dumpster this morning.

Police have arrested Levi Aron, 35, in connection to the murder. Police sources tell News 12 that Kletzky was killed near Avenue C and East 2nd Street.

According to authorities, Kletzky was last seen near 44th Street and 12th Avenue in Borough Park just before 5 p.m. Monday. The Hasidic boy was coming home from a nearby day camp. He was supposed to meet his mother about three blocks away but never showed up.

Authorities say they believe Kletzky asked Aron for directions before he was abducted.

Police say Aron did not know Kletzky prior to the attack.

Officials say when they questioned Aron in his home about Kletzky's whereabouts, he nodded toward the refrigerator where they found parts of the child's body.

Police continued their search this afternoon, hoping to find more clues that might help answer some questions about the abduction and subsequent murder.
