Police arrest woman accused in string of bank robberies

Police arrested a woman yesterday in connection with robbing three banks in the borough.

Rose Perez, 52, is accused of robbing the Hudson Valley Bank on East 149th Street and a Capitol One Bank. Police say her most recent robbery attempt was at the Apple Bank in Westchester Square this month.

According to police, Perez never carried a weapon during the robberies but passed a note to a teller asking for cash.

Perez is charged with robbery and criminal possession of stolen property in all three cases.
