Construction crews work around the clock to fix water main break
Con Edison construction crews have been working around the clock to fix the water main that erupted last week on Jerome Avenue.
Con Edison was forced to turn off gas for almost 600 people after water got in the gas lines Wednesday.
A spokesperson says the company has already restored service to 70 percent of the affected customers.
Some business owners say if the repairs aren't completed soon, they may be forced to close for good.
