BX woman killed after fainting in front of oncoming 6 train

A Bronx woman was killed after she fainted on a subway platform and fell in front of an oncoming 6 train yesterday.

Officials say Fatoumata Diallo, 21, passed out while on a platform at Lexington Avenue and East 77th Street. Police say she rolled onto the tracks just as a train came into the station.

The medical examiner says Diallo died from blunt force trauma to the head and torso.

The victim's brother, Thierno Diallo, says he wants to know why nobody from the crowded platform tried to help his sister.

An MTA spokesperson says it is not releasing surveillance camera video at this time.

Transit officials say train service was shut down for several hours.
