Parents ask for help finding computer robbers

Dozens of parents held a rally today on the steps of P.S. 73 asking the community to help find the robbers who stole their children's computers.

According to the NYPD, 77 laptops were stolen in two different incidents last month. The last robbery was on Memorial Day.

The parents are also demanding better security at P.S. 73. The Department of Education says an investigation has been launched and all student records are secure.

Police say the thieves broke in through a first-floor window before taking off with thousands of dollars worth of computers and much more. According to the parents, fifth-grade students had end-of-the-year projects on the machines.
