Restaurant owner accused of bribing Health Department

The owner of the Allerton Restaurant on Allerton Avenue in the Bronx is in hot water after being accused of bribing an investigator in return for a favorable report.

Officials say Themi-Stoklis Kathehis, 55, offered free dinner and $170 to a New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene inspector to overlook several health code violations in his restaurant.

The Health Department employee was actually an undercover agent with the Department of Investigation.
