Community center struggling to stay open

A local community center is struggling to keep its doors open.

Featherbed Lane Improvement Association says it must close its doors on June 30 due to lack of state funding. The center provides community based drug prevention education, after school services, and counseling to children and families in Morris Heights.

The center says it?s urging the community to help keeps the doors open. Officials are also looking for alternative methods of funding.
