Residents frustrated with Devoe Park restroom renovation

Residents who frequent Devoe Park say they're becoming frustrated with construction delays.

Residents say the bathrooms have been closed for renovations for almost two years, making for a big inconvenience.

They say not only are the bathrooms closed, but the water is turned off as well, so there is no way for residents to get a drink at the water fountains.

A spokesperson for the Department of Parks and Recreation says it is in the process of putting in new plumbing, light fixtures and tiling, and that when construction is done, there will also be new locker rooms, an office and a common area.

The spokesperson said the project should be complete by this summer.
