Unattended house in Throgs Neck causing headaches

Neighbors of an unattended home in Throgs Neck are reaching out to local lawmakers in hope of finally getting the site cleaned.

Neighbors call the backyard at 3011 Schley Ave. a swampy mess with about two feet of water. They say the yard is also full of garbage and a breeding ground for mosquitoes and snakes.

The Department of Health has issued several violations regarding the home over the years, but neighbors say they have not seen any progress.
