NBA draft prospect tried dancing before picking up a basketball
For Kemba Walker, his life will likely change tomorrow as he takes part in the NBA Draft, but before he picked up a basketball as a kid, he was an aspiring dancer.
For six years, Walker took dance classes from dance instructor Marilyn Patterson.
"I went in, they showed me a quick routine," said Walker. "I remembered it and I made it. It just went from there."
Walker even tried out for Amateur Night at the Apollo.
While Walker may not be lighting up the dance floor with his moves, he says it has helped him on the court.
"[My dad] always says I look like I'm dancing on the court, just the way I play. He tells me I look like I'm dancing... and I agree with him."
