NBA draft pick makes Soundview community proud

Bronx native Kemba Walker has made it to the NBA and is making a Bronx community proud in the process.

Walker grew up in one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in The Bronx. Soundview's local precinct reported 14 murders, 35 rapes and more than 500 robberies last year.

He says he developed a strong work ethic and fought for a better life after seeing his older brother go in and out of prison.

Residents say it would be great for the neighborhood to see Walker have a successful career with the Charlotte Bobcats.
