Friends, family mourn teens killed in car crash
Friends and family members are mourning the deaths of two teenagers who were killed in a Fordham car accident yesterday.
Police say 15-year Rudy Drekaj and 19-year-old Klaudio Simoni were speeding down Fordham Road at 75 mph when they clipped a truck and slammed into an overpass wall. Both victims died at the scene.
Students at Christopher Columbus High School, where Drekaj was a student, held a small memorial today while a crisis team remained on hand to help everyone cope. Family members say they hope the accident serves as a wake-up call for other young drivers.
