Proposed city budget could cut child care for 4,000 in BX

More than 4,000 children in the Bronx may not have access to child care soon and residents say they need to find a solution.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg's proposed budget could cut access to child care for about 17,000 in the city if passed. The cuts come mainly through a reduction of staff in the Administration for Children's Services Department.

Child care advocates say eliminating the option will lead to unemployment for parents who must stay home to take care of children.
