Extra security for Passover at Riverdale synagogues

As Jews around The Bronx marked the first night of passover, extra security measures have been put in place at the Riverdale synagogues that were targeted in a terrorist attack two years ago.

Police are stationed tonight at the Riverdale Jewish Center and the Riverdale Temple. In 2009, four men plotted with an undercover FBI agent to bomb the two worship centers. All four were convicted.

Both synagogues have since received federal grants to improve security. Temple officials say surveillance cameras and other measures have since been installed.
