Police hunt for man who robbed elderly woman

Police say they hope surveillance video will help them find the person who robbed a 78-year-old woman in The Bronx.

According to authorities, the suspect walked up behind the victim and two other people on Arthur Avenue and East 188th Street. They say he then snatched the elderly woman's purse and threw her to the ground.

Officials describe the suspect as an 18- to 23-year-old black male who is about 6 feet tall. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
