A Bronx cab driver is being honored for helping police apprehend two people accused of beating a man to death.

Driver Angel Ruiz is being honored after he says he witnessed two people stomping on the head of a 61-year-old man in Mott Haven.Ruiz jumped out of his cab and into a police car where the police, with the help of Ruiz, were able to locate the two suspects, identified as a 20-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man.

Ruiz says that if more people took the time to keep their eyes open and report suspicious activity, crime rates would go down.
