'Denim Day' marks solidarity with abuse survivors

Many Bronx residents wore denim clothes today in support of survivors of sexual assaults and dating violence.

The second annual Bronx "Denim Day" began in Italy several years ago after a judge overturned a rape conviction because he said the alleged assailant wouldn't be able to take off the victim's jeans without consent.

Students with the group Start Strong, which promotes healthy relationships, also performed a skit titled "Every Girl" at the Bronx Supreme Courthouse.
