Former state Sen. Pedro Espada, Jr. and his son, Pedro G. Espada, were back in court earlier this afternoon as lawyers attempted to confirm a trial date.
Both Espada and his son are accused of embezzling more than $500,000 from their Soundview Health Clinic.
It is the third time Espada and his son faced a federal judge since December, when they were indicted on embezzlement charges.
