A school in Hunts Point is providing students with a leg up in life with a low-cost education.

St. Ignatius Catholic School gives students a private school education for a very low fee. Parents pay a participation fee of $60-$100 per month based on income. School officials say this covers about 3-5 percent of the cost of educating the child. The rest is raised through generous benefactors.
