BX specialized schools could be saved from chopping block

Some Bronx schools could be saved from the chopping block.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced recently that funding has been restored to specialized schools in New York. Officials at St. Josephs School for the Deaf in the borough say they are excited. However, no monetary amount has been named.

Officials say the news is bittersweet, and they are optimistic the schools will be able to remain open.
