Bronx woman, 100, shares memories through national program
A 100-year-old Bronx woman is sharing her trove of memories with a national program called StoryCorps.
Born Leeza Yurkovsky, Lily Rapaport says she escaped brutality in her home country of Ukraine to build a better life in America. Her Jewish family escaped, and she spent most of her life living in the Bronx.
Rapaport recently spoke at MJHS Hospice in Riverdale.
