Bronx Good Samaritans rescue girl from oncoming train

Two Bronx men threw themselves in front of an oncoming 2 subway train and saved the life of a teenage girl who fell onto the tracks.

One of the men, Jose Tirado, and his daughter, Lizbeth, were waiting for the train Wednesday morning when they saw the girl fall onto the tracks after suffering a seizure. With a subway train approaching, Tirado and another man jumped down onto the tracks and rescued her, while Lizbeth ran to tell a station agent to stop the train.

Lizbeth said she considers her father a hero, but Tirado said he was in the right place at the right time and just did what he thought was right.

Police say the 18-year-old victim was treated with a few stitches.
