Gas prices rising as protests spread

Gas prices continue to rise even as New York hits nearly $3.48 a gallon and protests in the Middle East are spurring on the increase.

Tensions in Libya are forcing oil companies to pull staff from the nation. Protests in the oil-producing nation could bump up the price of crude oil and bring higher gas prices.

AAA says tensions in the Middle East could further affect oil prices but are not sure what will happen in the future. However, Bronx residents say with more news of protests they think prices will simply keep increasing.
