Archdiocese closes 6 Catholic schools in BX

The Archdiocese of New York has decided to close six Bronx schools due to low enrollment and high deficits.

The decision comes following a yearlong evaluation of schools that were put on an "at-risk" warning list.

The schools slated to be closed are Saint Augustine School, Saint John Vianney, Saint Martin of Tours, Saint Dominic School on White Plains Road, Saint Anthony-Saint Frances on Matilda Avenue and Saint Pius the Fifth Girls High School.
