Residents trudge through second snowfall of week

Residents trudged through snow for the second time this week as a wintry mix made the morning commute messy.

The New York City Office of Emergency Management issued a Hazardous Travel Advisory after the NationalWeather Service forecast 3-6 inches of snowfall overnight.

The city has been careful to fully prepare for winter weatherfollowing a day-after-Christmas blizzard that paralyzed largeswathes of the metropolis and sparked several investigations. Itover-prepared for a weak snowfall earlier this month then appearedto deftly handle another medium-sized snowstorm a few days later.
