City cuts 12 bus lines in the Bronx

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is going through another round of cuts and this time 12 bus lines in the Bronx are being slashed.

The MTA has proposed a plan to reduce the number of buses on each of the lines making wait times for riders longer. The agency plans to cut buses in more than 40 lines across the city.

MTA officials say the move will save $300,000 per year. If the plan is approved, the cuts could go into effect in April.
