Bronx residents brace for snow, hazardous roads
Bronx residents are bracing for another major storm that could dump nearly a foot of snow on the borough.
The latest winter weather is forecasted to cover the area with 4-8 inches of snow and disrupt the evening commute. Residents say they are stocking up with sand, salt and shovels.
Officials say they are asking the Departments of Transportation and Parks and Recreation, and the Environmental Protection Agency, to all pitch in and help with plowing. They are also bringing in private contractors to speed up snow removal.
