4 Bronx residents scooped up in heroin bust

Four Bronx residents were scooped up in a large drug bust that spanned several countries.

The Suffolk County District Attorney says 23 men and women are responsible for distributing more than $10 million worth of heroin on the streets.

Police say Bronx resident Carlos Melendez helped run a distribution center out of Corona, Queens. Melendez is being charged as a major drug trafficker. The other three Bronx residents are facing conspiracy charges.
