Volunteers to count number of homeless

Thousands of volunteers will be roaming New York City tonight in an attempt to count the number of homeless people in each borough.

The volunteers will be out counting from midnight until 4 a.m. They will also be offering help like shelter information and other services.

City officials say the survey will help allocate resources to aid in the fight against homelessness in the New York City area.
