Missing 96-year-old Jessie Thompson found safe after 2 weeks

Police say a 96-year-old woman who went missing from a Bronx nursing home has been found.

Jessie Thompson was discovered at Penn Station Sunday near the Amtrak service lines. She was taken to Bellevue Hospital in good condition.

Thompson had been missing since May 4. She disappeared from Jewish Home Lifecare on 100 West Kingsbridge Road.

There is no word yet on who found the woman.

News 12 viewers had reported sightings of the woman last week. One caller said she believed she had helped Thompson on an escalator at the Port Authority.
