Bronx River Alliance designs artificial eel habitats to help keep population in Bronx River

A Bronx group is trying to keep the eel population in the Bronx River.
Bronx River Alliance has designed artificial habitats specifically made for the eels.
It's the Alliance's first year of eel monitoring and they have already partnered up with schools so students can learn about the river and its creatures.
The group hopes more residents can be involved in the project.
"We're looking to reunite the Bronx back into the river and what better way than getting the community do it themselves," says Elizabeth Severino, of the Bronx River Alliance.
