Bronx Museum unveils veterans exhibit, showcasing struggles of men and women who served in US military
The Bronx Museum is offering a new exhibit that gives a glimpse into the lives of the men and women who serve in the U.S. military.
The exhibit, entitled "Veterans," showcases the struggles of American troops on the battlefield and at home.
It is the work of painter Nina Talbot, a Bronx native and current Brooklyn resident.
Each portrait tells the story of a soldier set against wartime scenes in Afghanistan, Iraq, Vietnam, Korea and other battlefields. It also includes elements of the veteran's life before, during and after his or her service.
The paintings are accompanied by written stories.
