Despite summer being more than a month away, Bronx residents are getting a taste of some much-needed warm weather today.
While the water may still be cold, many residents took to Orchard Beach this morning to soak up the sun's rays and enjoy the weather after the bitter-cold winter.
The beach-goers say their time spent there was serene and peaceful today, especially since it's not very crowded.
The sand at the beach is currently being prepared for Memorial Day, when the beach will officially open to the public.
