A rooftop garden has opened in the Bronx just in time for the warm weather.
The kickoff event for the garden took place at Intervale Green on Intervale Avenue. Tenants in the Women's Housing and Economic Development Corporation building enjoyed music, arts and crafts and even a demo from "Iron Chef" Russell Jackson.
The Women's Housing and Economic Development Corporation works to offer South Bronx residents the necessary resources to live in happy, healthy and affordable neighborhoods.
