‘Cross This Way’ video released by DOT delivers traffic safety message

The city's Department of Transportation has released a video that encourages pedestrians to check both ways before crossing the street.

"Cross This Way" aims at educating students about making safe choices in New York City's traffic environment.

The video features 29 students from P.S. 261 in Brooklyn.

The DOT campaign is part of Mayor Bill de Blasio's Vision Zero Intiative, which aims at eliminating deaths due to traffic accidents.
