Bronx street renamed for New York Yankees' Mariano Rivera

The street outside Yankee Stadium has been renamed for Yankee great Mariano Rivera.

A stretch of River Avenue near 161st Street and Yankee Stadium is now Rivera Avenue.

Rivera joined local politicians, community leaders and fans Monday to publicly unveil the new sign that bears his name.

Rivera holds the record for most saves in Major League Baseball (652). He is also a 13-time All-Star, the 1999 World Series MVP and a five-time World Series champion. His No. 42 was retired by the Yankees.
