The Children's Hospital at Montefiore holds prom night for teenage patients

One Bronx hospital held a special event for its teen patients amid prom season.

The Children's Hospital at Montefiore held prom night for its teen patients Saturday. The hospital has been holding prom for five years, and this year's theme was the circus.

Before the big night, the girls were pampered. Then, they hit the dance floor where dozens showed off their moves.

Most of the young adults at the hospital are battling chronic illnesses such as heart disease, diabetes and cancer.

The hospital also organized movie night for parents to give them a chance to relax as their teens partied the night away.
