Family of slain teen Eva Suazo honors memory with vigil, march to spot of killing
The family of a Bronx teenager who was murdered years ago is commenting on the still-unsolved case in hopes that it will bring viable leads forward.
The family of Eva Suazo has been waiting 18 years for answers after her body was found in the woods near Soundview Park in April of 1996. Police say she was shot multiple times.
Her family held a vigil in her memory today and marched to the spot where she was found almost two decades ago. Her mother says she won't rest until her daughter's killer is brought to justice.
The family says someone out there knows something, and they are pleading for that person to come forward.
