Department of Environmental Protection needs advice on cleaning up Pugsley, Westchester creeks
The city's Department of Environmental Protection is planning on overhauling two polluted creeks, and its asking for help from Bronx residents in deciding how it should tackle the task.
The DEP is seeking to clean up the water space at Pugsley Creek and Westchester Creek, where the polluted water has been deemed unsafe for swimming, drinking and fishing. It is asking for help in deciding what to do with the $100 million that's been set aside for the project.
Bronx residents can attend a meeting with the Department of Environmental Protection on May 7 at Lehman High School.
