A taxi burst into flames on the Major Deegan Expressway, bringing traffic to a screeching halt for hundreds of early morning commuters.
It happened on the southbound side of I-87, near Exit 6 and Yankee Stadium at around 5 a.m.
News 12 Assignment Desk Editor Clayton Harley was in the car at the time, and captured it all on camera.
The fire started in the trunk of the cab, but quickly engulfed the entire vehicle.
No injuries were reported.
