It's been a staple in the Melrose section of the Bronx for more than half a century, but now the owners of Brook House say it's time to go.
On May 31, Brook House will close its doors for good. In its place will be a new state-of-the-art health facility.
The owners say the neighborhood has dramatically changed and is developing rapidly. They say 56 years is a long time in business.
The senior vice president of the new health facility says he hopes to contribute to the surrounding community just like Brook House.
