A Bronx church is trying to bridge the gap between police and the community it serves.
Pastor Jonathan Recabarren invited police from the Community Affairs Bureau into the Fordham Evangelical Lutheran Church for a Three Kings Day clebration.
"It's a time that there's a lot of emotions, and what better time to actually address this, and all guards are down, and now we come together," he says.
Recabarren says the goal is to end the chaos and have the public regain trust in NYPD officers.
Inspector Philip River plans on holding the next community council meeting at the church. He says it is just another way to bring the community together.
