Dog adopted after 3 years at shelter
The longest resident of the borough's no-kill animal shelter has finally found a home.
Tank, a 6-year-old American bulldog, was adopted by a Soundview family.
Tank was abandoned at NYC's Top Dog Shelter three years ago.
Tank was often overlooked in favor of younger and smaller puppies. He eventually won over the heart of Gabriel Maldonado, a real estate worker who started volunteering at a Newbold Avenue dog kennel and spotted the four-legged friend at an adoption event in early 2014.
NYC's Top Dog Animal Shelter will hold an adoption event on Jan. 17 for those looking to bring home a best friend of their own.
