Construction worker killed in Longwood accident

An accident in Longwood took the life of a construction worker Tuesday.

The incident happened at Fox and Barretto streets.

People who live in the area say the worker was loading up cement from his cement truck when the mixer got stuck.

They say the worker went underneath the truck to try and restart it or check it. They say his shirt got caught and he was pulled into the machine.

News 12 reached out to Cava Concrete Corporation, the Queens company that the truck belongs to. They did not want to comment.
