Broken street lamps leave Morris Park dark

Residents in Morris Park complain that a number of street lamps are broken in the area, leaving some streets pitch black and dangerous for pedestrians.

Residents say about 15 lights have been out for two months, leaving only headlights of cars to light the way for pedestrians.

Bronx residents say they have called 311 countless times about street lamps broken along Saint Raymond, Saint Peters and East Tremont avenues.

Many agree that the broken lamps are a matter of safety and hope that the problem is fixed before anyone gets hurt.
